Approach

“Everyone experiences suffering and hard times throughout their lifetime. Therapy can provide a safe space to meet someone once a week and to work through those feelings and make sense of it all.

I meet the client where they are and how they are in the world and work with them to equip them to see patterns in their behaviour, their family/friend/relationship dynamics. Listening to the client and offering a gentle, non-judgemental, and friendly space is the core of what I do. Often our bodies remember a lot of our suffering and so I also offer working with the body – this means listening to stress/pain/sensations in the body to make sense of it all. I love working with different people, connecting with clients, and accompanying them on this journey as they heal and make sense of their experiences and connect with their own inner wisdom.

Experience & Areas of Interest

Aisling has a particular interest in working with the LGBTQ+/queer community and is a member of that community herself. Her interest includes sexual identity, gender identity, coming out and navigating being a member of the community in Ireland today. She has previously worked in a queer therapy centre.

She also has experience working with clients regarding:

  • Low mood/depression
  • Worry/anxiety
  • Work stress
  • Eating disorders
  • Family dynamics/stress/issues
  • Friendship dynamics/stress/issues
  • Relationship dynamics/stress/issues
  • Sexuality
