Training & Accreditation
I am a qualified Nutritional Therapist and Nutritional Coach based in Dublin.
I studied Nutritional Therapy and Applied Clinical Nutrition at the Institute of Nutrition and Health (IINH) in Bray.
I am a registered member of the Nutritional Therapist of Ireland.
Approach
I come from a country where food and sunshine are a central part of everyday life – Italy.
I discovered the variety of traditional diets implemented in different countries around the world during extensive travels over twenty years.
I have combined it with my natural passion for food, cooking skills and the understanding of people’s genetics, cultural and environmental diversity.
Food is an essential part of our life. To improve people’s health I use targeted dietary changes., if necessary with the help of modern tools of measurements including wearables, lab tests and questionnaires. I work in conjunction with practicing GPs to assure the best outcome for patients.
Activities include monthly webinars, weekly nutrition classes for the general public and corporations and a public talk in the science gallery.
Functional Medicine is a systems biology approach that focuses on identifying and addressing the root cause of a disease. Each symptom or diagnosis may be only one of several contributing factors affecting a person’s illness.
The precise manifestation of each cause depends on the individual’s genes, environment and lifestyle. Only treatments that address the right cause will have lasting benefit beyond symptom suppression.
A dietary and nutritional change may be a source of stress for some people, and at first it can be difficult to implement.
In my practice I advise personalized dietary changes alongside continuous tailored support to help implementing these nutritional changes over time.
These nutritional changes are in line with the principles of Functional Medicine.
